Patient Groups

Through patient groups, users can set multiple different sales and transaction limits for different subsets of their organizations’ clientele. For example, a retail dispensary in Colorado may do this to distinguish between in-state and out-of-state sales limits.

 

To do this, navigate to Admin, Customize Lists.

 

Patient Groups will appear toward the bottom of the list.

 

 

To add a patient group, click Add terms, or click List terms to see a list of existing patient groups.

 

A new patient group record will ask for a Term name, which will appear as the group’s name wherever applicable. It also provides a field to Upload an Image, which will appear as a 16x16 icon next to any patients in queue assigned to it as pictured below.

 

 

Under Advanced Options, there is a checkbox to make a group applicable to anonymous orders. The effect of this checkbox is detailed below.

 

When record creation or any changes are complete, click the Save button.

 



To set specific sales limits for a patient group, navigate to Admin, Customize Lists, and list terms for the Catalog list.

 

Click edit for a given item type. Under Transaction Limits, a user can select which Patient Group to update and, if the transaction limits for that category are different from the default, enter the different values. Once new values have been set, the Update Limits button will save the changes.

 



To assign a group to a patient record, navigate to the patient record’s edit page. The Group dropdown next to the name will allow you to select from all patient groups created in the system.

 

When starting an anonymous order, the Use Limits field will appear over the Data Field, allowing the budtender to select which patient group’s sales limits apply to the sale. Only patient groups that were set as available to anonymous orders will appear.
