Through enabling Swipe Automation, a dispensary may have the system automatically check in a patient whose card has been swiped at the front desk.
To enable this, navigate to Admin, Patients.
Toward the bottom, expand the Swipe Preferences section. The Enable Swipe Automation checkbox controls this feature following the patterns of behavior described in the text beneath it.
Patient Sales Limits
Users can make use of Patient Sales Limits to control the product weight and order counts of sales within the system.
To set these limits, navigate to Admin, Settings, Compliance.
Expand the Patient Sales Limits section. Two dropdown boxes will appear under the Weight Limits and Order Limits headers.
Under Weight Limits, a user can set the dropdown to Ignore, Warn, or Block.
Ignore allows all sales to go through, not setting a limit.
Warn will display a warning message within the point of sale when an order may exceed a patient’s weight limit, but will not block the sale entirely.
Block will prevent the sale’s completion.
With the dropdown set to Warn or Block, additional fields will appear to let you set how many units per time period a patient may purchase, and whether this is tallied per location or across the entire database.
Under Order Limits, a user can set the dropdown to Ignore or Warn. When set to Warn, the additional fields will appear to let you set how many orders per time period a patient may open and complete, and whether this is tallied per location or across the entire database. This exclusively includes sales orders, and refund orders will always be available.
